Abstract

Extreme giftedness represents an exceptionally high level of intellectual ability and, as such, presents unique challenges in both educational and social psychology. This paper reviews the current literature on extreme giftedness, discussing its definition, measurement, and classification according to modern theories. Additionally, it examines the characteristics and needs of extremely gifted individuals, as well as gender factors and prevalence. Finally, the long-term personal and professional consequences are analyzed, and several intervention measures are proposed.
